Malaysia: First hybrid MPV unveiled by Tan Chong

Malaysia-based vehicle distributor Edaran Tan Chong Motor (Tan Chong) has rolled out a Japan-made hybrid multipurpose van (MPV) known as Serena S-Hybrid that comes in silver, white, black or purple. The new model is priced at MYR 149,500 (EUR 35,569.11, USD 47,034.78), and is available with gifts including a multimedia navigator of 6.5 inches and a DVD player valued at MYR 3,300 in total. Also, purchases of the new vehicle, which is the first hybrid MPV to be introduced in Malaysia, are entitled to the hybrid vehicle duty exemption offered by the government until 31 December 2013.
